BOSTON, March 26 (UPI) -- Four workers at Logan Airport in Boston were hospitalized Monday after a suspicious-smelling bag was opened, officials said.

A total of 15 Transportation Safety Administration workers were made ill by the mysterious odor after the bag was opened in a baggage room in Terminal A, the Boston Globe reported.

The workers complained of headaches, eye and throat irritation. Four workers were hospitalized for evaluation, said Logan Airport spokesman Phil Orlandella.

Orlandella said no passengers were exposed to the odor and delays at the airport were minimal.

"State Police are going through the bag trying to figure out what happened," said Orlandella.
