Animal control officers and San Diego County sheriff's deputies seized a total of 58 horses, cattle, llamas, goats and sheep. Dogs, chickens and a pig were not taken away.

Nine dead goats and a llama in such bad condition it had to be put down were found dumped on a dirt road near the ranch in early November, KGTV, San Diego, reported. The owners were given information on the care of livestock.

Information from Friday's raid is being forwarded to the San Diego County District Attorney's Office. The animals remaining on the ranch will also be checked on to make sure they are not being mistreated, officials said.
