Defense in Clementi case to get name

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J., Oct. 20 (UPI) -- A New Jersey judge ordered prosecutors Thursday to identify the unnamed man involved in the Tyler Clementi case to defense lawyers.

Dharun Ravi is accused of using a Web cam to record Clementi, then his roommate at Rutgers University, hugging and kissing another man. Clementi, an 18-year-old freshman, jumped off the George Washington Bridge a few hours after he filed a complaint with the university on Sept. 22, 2010.

Superior Court Judge Glenn Berman said Ravi's lawyers must be given the name of Clementi's companion, identified in court papers only as M.B., and his date of birth. Clementi told his friends the man was in his early 20s and was not public about his sexual orientation.
