LOMA LINDA, Calif., Oct. 6 (UPI) -- An 80-year-old California woman was found to have been trapped between her bed and a wall for four days, police said.
The woman, whose name was not released, was discovered Monday in her Loma Linda, Calif., home after police received a call for a welfare check. The woman had not been seen for days and her pets had not been fed, The Riverside (Calif.) Press-Enterprise reported Wednesday.
Deputy Bernabe Ortiz said he heard a faint cry when he knocked on the woman's window. He entered the house through a window and discovered the woman with a head injury.
She was taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center and treated for her injury and dehydration. There was no word on whether the woman was hospitalized or her current medical condition.
