The U.S. attorney's office said Greig knew of a warrant for Bulger and conspired to prevent his arrest.

Greig was arrested with Bulger, 81, in June in Santa Monica, Calif. He has been charged with involvement in 19 murders.

Greig faces a possible sentence of five years in prison.
