DETROIT, June 13 (UPI) -- A passenger who was hustled off a plane at Detroit Metro Airport for cursing is threatening to sue Atlantic Southeast Airlines.
Robert Sayegh of the New York City borough of Brooklyn -- where "we curse as adjectives" -- told The Detroit News he had a layover Sunday on his way home from a wedding in Kansas City, Mo.
A TV producer and children's book author, Sayegh said passengers on a flight to Newark, N.J., had been waiting at the gate for 45 minutes when he told a passenger next to him, "What's taking so (expletive) long to close the overhead compartments?"
The plane taxied to the runway but returned, and airport police boarded the plane and escorted Sayegh off.
"This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever been through in my life. It's embarrassing," he said.
Sayegh said he was told later he was removed as "disruptive" and airport police never filed a report.
A spokeswoman for Atlantic Southeast, a Delta connection carrier, said Sayegh was put on later flight and the airline is investigating.
