BLOOMINGTON, Ind., June 13 (UPI) -- The search for Indiana University student Lauren Spierer has entered its second week, authorities say.
Spierer, 20, disappeared after a night out with friends in Bloomington, Ind., and was reported missing by her long-term boyfriend June 3. Since then police have made a list of 10 people of interest, including her boyfriend, USA Today reported Sunday. No arrests have been made, however.
Charlene Spierer made a plea to whomever abducted her daughter or anyone who knows who did.
"I want to say to the person who has Lauren or has harmed Lauren: Shame on you!" she said. "In relationship to that, the person who knows this person who's not coming forward with the information, I beg you to come forward."
After a 2-minute special on the television show "America's Most Wanted" aired Saturday night, authorities received 30 to 40 new tips and anticipate more to come, ABC reported.
Spierer's family is offering a $100,000 reward for her return, and has started a Web site, findlauren.com.
Authorities had three scheduled searches for Sunday in the Bloomington area.
