Pickup overturns during stunt, 2 die

NAPLES, Fla., April 25 (UPI) -- A pickup truck with six people in it overturned while the driver was doing a stunt in a parking lot, killing two of them, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The Highway Patrol said the driver of the F250 pickup, Randall P. Landry of Naples, was attempting to do a circular maneuver called a doughnut when the accident occurred about midnight Saturday near the Collier/Lee County line, the Naples Daily News reported.

Landry, 43, and one passenger, Jose Antonio Castillo, 28, of LaBelle, were partially ejected and died when they were pinned underneath the truck, the newspaper said.

Landry's wife Savannah, 26, and Jessica Guzman, 33, of LaBelle were seriously injured. Sarah Elizabeth Castillo, 27, and Robert L. Guzman, 33, both of LaBelle, suffered minor injuries.

The Highway Patrol report said no one in the truck was wearing a seat belt.
