Man killed by Massachusetts commuter train

WELLESLEY, Mass., Feb. 6 (UPI) -- A Massachusetts commuter train headed from Boston to Framingham hit and killed a man Sunday near the Wellesley Farms station, authorities said.

Wellesley police Lt. Marie Cleary told The Boston Globe the collision appears to be "self-inflicted and not accidental."

Cleary said a white man in his 30s went in front of the train, which was carrying 125 passengers, 30 minutes after it left Boston. Police were alerted at 3 p.m., and service resumed 2 hours later, the newspaper said.

The man's identity was unknown, and police were investigating.
