Police question Olmert again

JERUSALEM, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Investigators have questioned Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert for the sixth time in three weeks.

Detectives from the National Fraud Squad spent three hours at Olmert's house Friday, Haaretz reported. Olmert was under caution during the interrogation.

Olmert plans to step down as prime minister and head of the Kadima Party in September.

The investigation involves allegations that Olmert received cash payments illegally from Morris Talansky, a U.S. businessman, and other matters. Prosecutors have said indictments could be handed up in a few weeks.
