Clinton wins Rhode Island primary

PROVIDENCE, R.I., March 4 (UPI) -- Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton is projected to win the Rhode Island primary, it was reported.

The New York senator's win in the Ocean State was her first win in more than a month against rival Barack Obama.

With 38 percent of the ballots counted, Clinton had 61 percent of the vote in Rhode Island, compared to Obama's 38 percent support, CNN reported.

There were 21 delegates were up for grabs in Rhode Island.

On the Republican side, Arizona Sen. John McCain was projected to win over former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.

With 49 percent of the vote counted, McCain had 64 support compared to Huckabee's 23 percent, CNN reported.
