IPSWICH, England, Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Prosecutors in Ipswich, England, said Thursday there was DNA and other forensic evidence linking a man to the killings of five prostitutes.
Steve Wright, 49, is charged with the five slayings, and on Wednesday admitted to having had sex with four of the women at his home or in his car, Sky News reported.
He denies any involvement in their deaths, but prosecutors said there was DNA evidence on three of the women's bodies and fibers from his clothes on all five that linked Wright to their killings.
There was no DNA found on two bodies that had been immersed in water between two and five weeks, prosecutors said.
The women went missing in the eastern coastal city between Oct. 30 and Dec. 13, 2006, The Times of London said.
A judge said jurors would be taken to the isolated spots where the bodies were found on the outskirts of Ipswich on Monday, the East Anglian Daily Times said.
