CHICAGO, April 5 (UPI) -- Former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani warned Wednesday that people should expect another major terrorist attack in the United States, a report said.
"It's better to assume we will be attacked again and go from there," Giuliani said at a Chicago urban affairs forum.
"Sept. 11 (2001) removed any last vestige of thinking that we're isolated," the Chicago Tribune reported of Giuliani's remarks.
The former New York mayor -- now a security consultant -- said it would be irrational not to fear another terrorist attack.
"But the fear should lead you to do what a police officer does or a firefighter or a soldier or what Mayor (Richard M.) Daley did: prepare," said Giuliani, who was praised for his leadership in the aftermath of two planes crashing into the World Trade Center.
Giuliani said Daley and Florida Gov. Jeb Bush were the only two leaders who sent help as well as observers after the New York attacks.
Giuliani praised President George Bush and laughed off ideas he may run for president, the newspaper reported.
