SEOUL, Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Former South Korean President Kim Dae-jung has canceled his trip to the United States due to health reasons, the Korea Times reported Sunday.

Kim had traveled to Europe for the fifth World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates in Rome and was scheduled to fly to the U.S. to attend the opening ceremony of former President Clinton's library in Little Rock, Ark.

Kim went home earlier than scheduled after his doctor recommended he not visit the U.S. because of fatigue, said Choi Kyung-hwan, stressing he is not suffering from a serious health problem.

The 78-year-old Nobel Peace Prize winner will send an aide to the U.S. on his behalf to deliver a congratulatory message to Clinton.
