Mexican president congratulates Bush

MEXICO CITY, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Mexican President Vicente Fox extended his congratulations to President George W. Bush Wednesday on his reelection.

In a letter sent to the U.S. president, Fox reaffirmed his commitment to advancing bilateral issues and to maintaining tight cooperation and understanding between the two nations.

Fox's optimistic and supportive words were echoed by his economics minister, Fernando Canales Clariond, who said promised Mexico will work to secure the most advantageous relationship for both countries.
