A spokesman told UPI an 18-year-old suicide bomber from Nablus carried out the attack, which killed five people and injured more than 30 others.

Hamas spokesman Mushir Masri said the attack proves "the Israelis will not have peace and security as long as the Palestinian don't have it."

Witnesses said three Palestinian militants, members of al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades were killed after an Israeli army force stormed Nablus.

Another 12-year-old boy was killed and three other children were injured by Israeli troops' gunfire in the refugee camp of Askar near Nablus, after several children threw stones at an Israeli army patrol in the area.
