4 arrested in Berg beheading

BAGHDAD, May 21 (UPI) -- Iraq police detained four people in the beheading of American Nicholas Berg but then released two, Gen. Mark Kimmitt told reporters Friday.

Fox News said it had confirmed the arrests made during a raid Wednesday in Baghdad. Kimmitt said the arrests were the result of tips from Iraqis.

"We may find out that they have no association with the murder but we will continue to question them for some period of time until we are convinced they are innocent," Kimmitt said.
