KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- The so-called father of Pakistan's nuclear bomb gave enriched uranium to Libya, a Malaysian police report revealed.
A.Q. Khan, both a national Pakistani hero and a disgraced scientist under house arrest, arranged for the uranium to be flown by Pakistani jet to Libya, said his alleged financier, Buhary Syed Abu Tahir of Malaysia.
Kahn also received $3 million from Iran for used centrifuge parts, the BBC reported Friday.
Tahir said several meetings took place between Khan and representatives from Libya from 1997 to 2002 about Libya getting enriched uranium.
Tahir also said the middleman in the project was Peter Griffin, a British citizen who was based in Dubai and has now retired to France, the report said.
