Two most-wanted hide out in Canada

OTTAWA, July 19 (UPI) -- The FBI is spearheading a Canadian manhunt for two violent men on the Most Wanted list, a report said Saturday.

One of the men, Brian Jones is a 46-year-old former landscaper originally from Ottawa, wanted for the 1999 kidnapping and repeated sexual assault of a woman in Nevada.

FBI Special Agent Daron Bort told the Ottawa Sun the woman was attacked when her car broke down in the desert. She eventually escaped, and Bort was arrested a month later. He was released on bail and has been missing since.

The second man sought is former Alaska State Trooper John Patrick Addis, 52, of Flint, Mich.

Police said the former SWAT team member is wanted for the August 1995 murder of his girlfriend in Las Vegas.

He said Addis is accused of stealing money from women in Alaska and Salt Lake City. He is also being probed in connection with a woman who went missing in Mexico.
