Report: Osama deputy raised money in US

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 11 (UPI) -- A top deputy of suspected terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden made a fund-raising trip to the San Francisco area during the 1990s, raising around $500,000 he claimed was for refugee relief. The San Francisco Chronicle said Thursday that two jailed members of a Silicon Valley terrorist cell arranged the visit by Ayman al Zawahiri.
