July 28 (UPI) -- Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield made his debut in the NFL's annual list of its 100 best players, coming in at No. 50.

The second-year gunslinger completed 63.8 percent of his passes for 3,725 yards, 27 touchdowns and 14 interceptions in 14 games during his rookie campaign. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft posted a 6-7 record in his 13 starts.

Browns defensive end Myles Garrett also made the 2019 list at No. 49. Los Angeles Chargers defensive end Melvin Gordon landed at No. 48 on the list, followed by JuJu Smith-Schuster (47), Patrick Peterson (46), Demarcus Lawrence (45), Ben Roethlisberger (44), David Bakhtiari (43), Christian McCaffrey (42) and Cameron Jordan (41).

Nos. 41 through 100 have been released on NFL Network. Nos. 40 to 31 on the list will be revealed at 9 p.m. EDT Sunday on NFL Network.

Mayfield was the No. 9 quarterback in football last season, according to Pro Football Focus. The Browns star told reporters this week he is "a lot better" at this point in training camp than he was in 2018.

"Everything is not moving as fast," Mayfield said. "Just trying to get settled in a little more, handling the little things and getting the team together because that is what is important is making sure we are on the same page and fine tuning things.

"We are not going to be perfect, but as long as we communicate and we get on the same page, we will be able to work on that moving forward."
