Los Angeles Chargers defensive tackle Corey Liuget will miss the remainder of the season with a right knee injury. Liuget was carted to the locker room after sustaining a torn quad tendon in the first half of the Chargers' 23-22 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday.

Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn announced after the game that Liuget will miss the rest of the season for Los Angeles (7-3), which has lost two key cogs to its defense in as many weeks. Linebacker Denzel Perryman was lost for the season with a knee injury in a 20-6 win at Oakland in Week 10.
Liuget recorded 14 tackles and 1.5 sacks in six contests since returning from a four-game suspension for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
The 28-year-old Liuget has played in 108 games during his NFL career since being selected by the Chargers with the 18th overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft.
Liuget started all 12 games he played in 2017, when he had 21 tackles, 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble and two passes knocked down.
The 6-foot-2, 300-pound Liuget is still under contract for another year, but the Chargers would save $8 million in cap space should they part ways with him in the offseason.
