The Houston Texans signed LSU free-agent offensive tackle K.J. Malone to a contract, the Houston Chronicle reported on Monday.

While the newspaper initially reported the news, Malone's father -- NBA Hall of Famer Karl Malone -- hinted at it over Twitter while wearing a Texans hat.

"It's a dream come true," the younger Malone said, according to the Houston Chronicle. "I always dreamed of playing in the NFL, and to play for an organization like the Texans is amazing."

K.J. Malone, who is listed at 6-foot-4 and 303 pounds, has started at left tackle in each of the past two seasons with the Tigers. He missed six games in 2017 with a left knee injury.

If the NFL doesn't work out, Malone has a potential landing spot as he nearly skipped his senior season with LSU to become a United States Marshal, per the Houston Chronicle.
