Aug. 16 (UPI) -- The Indianapolis Colts have signed former Winnipeg Blue Bombers wide receiver Justice Liggins.
Indianapolis announced the signing Tuesday. The Colts waived/injured running back Dalton Crossan in a corresponding move. He will move onto the team's injured reserve list if he clears waivers.
Liggins played for the Blue Bombers in the Canadian Football League before being released on June 16. He had two receptions for 30 yards and a touchdown in two preseason games for the team this year. He signed with the team on June 4. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound pass catcher had 102 receptions for 1,166 yards and eight scores in 36 games at Stephen F. Austin. He had 641 yards and three scores on 49 catches in 10 games during his senior season in 2016.
"All praise to the most high!!!! Blessed to join the @Colts organization," Liggins tweeted Tuesday afternoon.
