Aug. 14 (UPI) -- Defensive end Shaneil Jenkins has signed with the Green Bay Packers.

Green Bay announced the move on Sunday. The Denver Broncos first signed Jenkins as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2016. The Broncos cut the Shepherd University product last August. He signed with the Dallas Cowboys a few days later, but was released in September. Jenkins then joined the Seattle Seahawks' practice squad in December, before being released on Saturday. Jenkins had 13.5 sacks and was the Mountain East Conference Defensive Player of the Year during his senior season at Shepherd.

Green Bay put tight end Beau Sandland on injured reserve in a corresponding move.

The Packers also signed Brett Goode on Friday. The 6-foot-1, 255-pound long snapper is entering his tenth NFL season. He played for the Jacksonville Jaguars before first signing with the Packers in 2008. He was the Packers' main long snapper through last season. Goode has played in 142 regular season games. He has played in all 16 games in all but one of his nine previous seasons.
