The Bears waived quarterback Connor Shaw earlier Tuesday but rescinded the move later in the day after Sanchez was injured.

Sanchez is expected to compete with No. 2 overall pick Mitch Trubisky for the backup quarterback role. Mike Glennon is slated to be the starter.

Training camp begins on July 27.
