April 5 (UPI) -- Philadelphia Eagles fans were quick to offer up gifts to Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, who is involved in trade talks.

Seahawks general manager John Schneider confirmed on 710 ESPN Seattle Wednesday that the franchise has been actively discussing dealing the All-Pro defender.

"What you've seen lately in the news is real," Schneider said on the Brock and Salk show on 710 ESPN Seattle. "That's on both sides. It's just open communication. He knows what's going on. We know what's going on.

"I don't know if anything would ever happen. But like I tell people all the time, 98 percent of the things we're involved with, we don't follow through with. But at least we've opened that door, gone down the road and seen what's behind door A or door B."

After complementing Pro Football Focus' Sam Monson for posting his stellar stats Wednesday, Sherman engaged with a few fans on Twitter who wanted him to join their respective teams.

One fan offered Sherman a "spare room and really fast Wifi" to come to the Eagles. Another Eagles fan offered Sherman bunk beds, his PS4, and some old Veteran's Stadium turf.

The 29-year-old was involved in several episodes with coaches last season, with one involving offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell and head coach Pete Carroll. Sherman was also asked by a fan to join the Denver Broncos, before reminding the fan that the Broncos are already set at the position. He was gracious when he received praise from several Seahawks fans.

The New England Patriots tried to trade for the four-time Pro Bowl selection in March, according to the NFL Network. Sherman is due $11.4 million next season and $11 million in 2018. The Patriots had the No. 10 passing defense in the AFC last season and have already added Pro Bowl cornerback Stephon Gilmore.
