March 10 Wide receiver Robert Woods is headed back to southern California after agreeing to a five-year deal with the Los Angeles Rams, multiple outlets reported on Thursday.

The deal, which is expected to be worth $39 million -- including $15 million in guaranteed money, will not become official until after 4 p.m. ET with the beginning of the league's new year.

Woods, who played his collegiate football at USC, offered his farewell to the Buffalo fans on his Instagram page.

"Appreciate the love over the 4 years @buffalobills and #BillsMafia I loved every bit of playing for the Bills week in and week out. I'm happy I was able to start my career there and was able to call it home. Appreciate everything, thank you Buffalo!"

The addition of Woods will come with the expected departure of fellow wideout Kenny Britt to the Cleveland Browns. Britt, who reportedly was set to sign a four-year deal, recorded career highs in both receptions (68) and receiving yards (1,002) and had five touchdowns last season with the Rams.
