March 7 (UPI) -- Flashy wide receiver DeSean Jackson could potentially move to his third different team in the NFC East.
A "person with knowledge of the situation" counted the New England Patriots and Dallas Cowboys among possible suitors for the Washington Redskins free agent, according to the Washington Post. The source said that both teams "have inquired" about the wide receiver.
Jackson has also been linked to his former team, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 30-year-old had 1,005 yards and four touchdowns on 56 receptions last season. Jackson, a three-time Pro Bowl selection led the NFL with 17.9 yards per reception in 2016.
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday afternoon that the Buccaneers are expected to make a "strong push" to sign the free agent.
Jackson had a $3.75 million base salary last season, with $5.5 million in bonuses.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported Monday that Jackson is looking for $10 million to $12 million annually.
Jackson met with the Redskins at the NFL Scouting Combine, along with fellow free agent Pierre Garcon. Both are expected to move on from the franchise.
