PITTSBURGH, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Current Pittsburgh Steelers linebackers coach Joey Porter is on administrative leave after being arrested Sunday. That opens the door for a Steelers legend on the coaching staff, as it prepares for a divisional round playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Former Steelers linebacker and 2016 Hall of Fame class member Kevin Greene wants to stand on the sideline with head coach Mike Tomlin. Greene was all over Twitter Monday, retweeting others who suggested he join the team as its outside linebackers coach. Greene coached outside linebackers from 2009 to 2013 with the Green Bay Packers.
"If My Steelers need me, I'm there," Greene tweeted Monday night. "I hope they know that."

Porter has coached Steelers outside linebackers since 2014. He was released Monday on $25,000 bail.
"We are continuing to gather information concerning Sunday night's incident involving Joey Porter," Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert said in a team statement. "We have been and will continue to be in communication with the NFL as is required by the Personal Conduct Policy. Pending further review, Joey Porter has been placed on leave. At this time, we will move forward with our preparations for the Divisional Round playoff game at Kansas City."

Porter was originally arrested at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday night.
"If Twitter is good enough for Pres Elect Trump, how about this: I'm ready and amped to coach again. #ITISTIME! #LETsROCK," Greene tweeted.
Greene, 54, was a two-time All Pro and five-time Pro Bowl selection during his 15-year NFL career. He has 160 career sacks, good for No. 3 all-time.
The Steelers battle the Chiefs at 1:05 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15 at Arrowhead Stadium.
