INDIANAPOLIS -- Now officially out of playoff consideration for the second straight season, the Indianapolis Colts will head into their 2016 regular-season finale with the goal of finishing .500.

The Colts (7-8) face AFC South rival Jacksonville on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Inconsistency and turnovers continue to be Indianapolis' worst enemies this season. The Colts had three costly turnovers in last Saturday's 33-25 loss at Oakland.

"Three turnovers anywhere, home or on the road, makes it hard to win a football game," Colts coach Chuck Pagano said Monday.

Pagano knows that his team not making the playoffs for the second year in a row does not sit well with too any people.

"It's unacceptable where we're at," Pagano said. "We all know that, players and coaches. That's not this culture. That's not what was developed around here, long before I got here."

One thing is certain, though, as the Colts look ahead to the game against the Jaguars. If the Colts' players are healthy, they will play against the Jaguars. None of the usual starters are expected to miss the game.

"Why would we (sit players)? We'll play our guys to win the football game," Pagano said.

"It's a huge game against a division rival. Opportunity to get to 8-8. We signed up for 16 games. We want to finish and we want to finish strong."

He's not worried about his team taking the Jacksonville game lightly.

"These guys are professionals and they'll handle their business professionally," Pagano said.
