DENVER, Sept. 15 (UPI) -- If you drafted Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas on your fantasy team, keep your ears open before locking in your Week 2 lineup.

"DT said he believes can play. Issue is coming out of cuts and getting hit. Said once in game can't worry about it @DenverChannel," Denver 7's Troy Renck tweeted Thursday.

Thomas, 28, has said that he thinks he can play against the Indianapolis Colts at 4:25 p.m. Sunday. He was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday.

Thomas had four catches for 48 yards in the Broncos Week 1 win against the Carolina Panthers, when he injured his hip.

Due to late game time, fantasy owners should definitely have a backup plan in mind in the case that Thomas cannot play. He is already a risky, low-end, WR2 option and it could be hard to stick with him after missing out on the 1 p.m. players available.

Last season, the three-time Pro Bowl selection had 105 receptions for 1,304 yards, and six touchdowns. In 2015, Thomas had just five receptions for 50 yards in a 27-24 loss to the Colts.
