ASHBURN, Va., April 22 (UPI) -- Have you ever taken your mom on a job interview?

Fresh free agent cornerback Josh Norman did Friday, when he visited the Washington Redskins, according to ESPN's John Keim.

Norman became a free agent this week, after the Super Bowl runner-up Carolina Panthers rescinded his franchise tag. The Redskins reportedly made a "legit offer" to Norman Wednesday, according to Pro Football Talk.

Nearly one-third of the NFL have expressed interest in the 28-year-old cornerback. Norman was set to make $13.9 million under the Panthers' franchise tag. Now he is said to be looking for around $16 million annually.

The fact that Norman brought his mom on the trip to Redskins Park could mean the South Carolina native is there to stay. The Redskins allowed the fifth-most passing yards per game in the NFC last season.

Pro Football Focus' Sam Monson listed the Jacksonville Jaguars, San Francisco 49ers, and Tennessee Titans as teams that should target Norman.
