PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Not only did he do his part between the tackles, Philadelphia Eagles running back DeMarco Murray also used his experience with the Dallas Cowboys to get the edge.

In Sunday's 33-27 win, the former Dallas Cowboys rushing leader helped out his defense by telling them what plays the Cowboys were running from the sidelines.

Bleeding Green Nation's Brandon Lee Gowton tweeted a video of one of the instances, where Murray shouted at cornerback Nolan Carroll to expect a hitch route from wide receiver Dez Bryant.

In the video, Murray stares down the line of scrimmage and says: "Hitch. Watch the hitch, Nolan."

Bryant ended up running a 10-yard hitch route on the play, but was covered up by Carroll and Malcolm Jenkins. Cowboys quarterback Matt Cassel did not throw to Bryant, opting for a check-down route to Darren McFadden.

Murray paced the Eagles on the ground with 86 yards and a score on 18 carries.

Several reporters noted in September that the Cowboys were calling out the Eagles plays. The Cowboys won that Sept. 20 contest 20-10

"Josh Huff said that when he lined up near Dallas sideline, there were times when he heard Cowboys calling out Eagles plays pre-snap," said Tim McManus, Eagles beat reporter for 97.5 The Fanatic and Philly Mag.

Murray, 27, played four seasons in Dallas. Last year, Murray led the league with 1,845 yards and 13 scores. This season, Murray has mustered 390 yards and four rushing scores on 106 carries.
