LeBron breaks no cellphone policy

By Alex Butler

CLEVELAND, May 4 (UPI) -- LeBron James stepped away from his stone-aged methods of focus during the NBA playoffs, to congratulate Chris Paul.

James, who typically shuts off his social media accounts, cellphone, and other means of communication during NBA crunch time made an exception Saturday, congratulating Paul on his game-winning shot that beat the San Antonio Spurs in Game 7.

"I called him from my wife's phone," James told USA Today. "He answered the phone, he was like 'what's up?' I told him don't say nothing, you're not allowed to reply, you're not allowed to say anything," James said. "I told him how amazing he was and how great he was and I hung up on him, I haven't spoken to him since, it's the truth."

James' Cavaliers face the Chicago Bulls Monday in Game 1, at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Game 2, 8 p.m. Friday in Game 3, and 3:30 Sunday in Game 4.
