BOSTON, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady showed his appreciation to rookie Malcolm Butler for helping secure his legacy with a Super Bowl win by giving him the MVP truck.

Butler was hailed as a hero after sealing the Patriots Super Bowl win when he intercepted a pass from Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson at the one yard line in the last 20 seconds of the game.

That interception prevented one last touchdown and gave the Patriots a 28-24 victory. The game was considered legacy-defining for Brady and the quarterback showed his gratitude by giving Butler the Chevrolet Colorado truck he won as MVP, reports the Detroit News.

"I've worked so hard in practice, and I just wanted to play so bad and help my team out," said Butler. "I got out there and did exactly what I needed to do to help my team win."
