James was defending the Brooklyn Nets in the first quarter Wednesday at Quicken Loans Arena. The Cavaliers were up 18-10 with 3:44 remaining in the frame.
Nets guard Caris Levert dribbled down the right side of the floor before attempting a pass to center Jarrett Allen.
The ugly pass attempt floated to the middle of the lane and into the hands of a sprinting James. James torched the defense in transition, nearing the 3-point line. He elevated just inside the free throw line for a monster windmill jam with his right hand. But the dunk attempt came out of his hand and drilled the back iron of the rim. The ricochet went back out to the foul line and the Nets took over.
James scored a game-high 33 points, with 23 coming in the fourth quarter. He also had six rebounds and five assists. The Cavaliers won the contest 119-109.
