OAKLAND, Calif., June 14 (UPI) -- It was impossible to miss 7-footer Andrew Bogut biting the deck Monday in Golden State's 112-97 Game 5 loss to Cleveland.

Bogut overextended his left knee after contesting a shot in the third quarter. He got tangled up with Tristan Thompson and J.R. Smith on his way to the floor, landing awkwardly, grabbing his knee in a heap of pain.

"It would have been nice to have him available, but we played four, five different people at center, just trying to find something that would work," Warriors coach Steve Kerr told the San Francisco Chronicle.

"It's unfortunate. Hopefully he's OK. We need him."

Bogut is scheduled for an MRI Tuesday. He averaged 3.2 points, three rebounds, and two blocks per game in the first five Finals contests. But Bogut's undeniable presence under the rim will surely be missed if he cannot return to the series.
