DALLAS, Jan. 25 (UPI) -- Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban says the NBA All-Star game fan voting system is "absolutely, positively broken," according to ESPN.

"In context of everything, that's no votes," Cuban told ESPN's Tim MacMahon. "That's such a small number considering all the different options you have to vote that it's almost embarrassing. It's just no one's really looked at it that way. ... I mean, think about it. Of all the people who go to games, all the people who watch games globally, to have [1.5] million means that system's broken. Absolutely, positively broken."

Fans voted online and on Twitter and have already determined the game's 10 starters, led by the Golden State Warriors' Steph Curry, who received 1,513,324 votes.

Curry, Pau Gasol, Marc Gasol, Kyle Lowry, John Wall, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Blake Griffin were all voted as starters for the game, which will be played on Feb. 15 in New York City.

"I think it's time to do away with [fan voting] because we're just not getting the response that matters," Cuban told ESPN. "I don't know how votes have trended in terms of numbers versus past years, but it's obviously not something that fans really care about, given the numbers of votes. And if they don't care about it, we shouldn't do it. We should find a better way."

Reserves will be announced Jan. 29 on TNT and should include James Harden and Kevin Durant. Harden is averaging 27.3 points, 6.8 assists, and 5.5 points per game this season for the Houston Rockets.
