Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano was activated from the 10-day disabled list after missing the last 11 games with a right quad strain and will be available Tuesday against the Washington Nationals.
The 34-year-old was placed on the disabled list last Tuesday (retroactive to May 13). His only other DL stint came with the New York Yankees during the 2006 season.
In 34 games this season, Cano is batting .296 with eight home runs and 28 RBIs.
Cano, a seven-time All-Star, is in the fourth season of a 10-year, $240 million contract with Seattle. He is batting .299 with 82 home runs and 292 RBIs in 508 games with the Mariners.
Seattle (20-25) entered Tuesday in last place in the American League West.
