Kansas City Royals' Ben Zobrist welcomes daughter

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Nov. 6 (UPI) -- While second baseman Ben Zobrist sadly watches some of his Kansas City Royals family depart for free agency, he is adding to his own family.

Zobrist, 34, and his wife, Julianna Zobrist, tweeted Friday that their baby girl was born.

"In true GIRL fashion, allow new baby Zobrist to go ahead and one up everything else that has happened this week!" Julianna Zobrist tweeted.

The duo already has two children. Friday Julianna also released her new single, "Alive," according to KMBC.com.

Zobrist hit .261 in the World Series and had two homeruns and six RBI this postseason.
