March 29 (UPI) -- The NCAA tournaments' Sweet 16 began Thursday night, with some of the top seeds from each region remaining in the field.
During Friday's slate of games, No. 1 Duke, avoiding an upset with a one-point win over No. 9 UCF on Sunday, takes on fourth-seed Virginia Tech. Hokies guard Ty Outlaw was charged with marijuana possession last week, but passed a drug test Wednesday and will play against Zion Williamson and the Blue Devils.
