March 15 (UPI) -- Run hard to get her attention, run harder to keep it.

An Ohio teenage boy recently ran 5.5 miles to create a special prom invitation for his girlfriend. On March 9, Joran Fuller jaunted the distance and used the Strava GPS tracking app to keep track of his route. A blue route marker spelled out the word "Prom?"

Claire Short later took screenshots of the messages and posted them on social media.

Joran "actually stopped by that day to bring me some food because I wasn't feeling well, and he told me to check Strava and I saw it," Short told Buzzfeed.

The duo is set to attend the April 26 dance at Findlay High School.

"I'd seen on Strava some different Strava art things where in big cities cyclists would map out these big elaborate designs," Fuller told ABC News. "That inspired me a little bit but I'd never seen somebody do words."

Fuller is on the school's cross-country team while Short runs track for the Trojans.
