The Los Angeles Rams released cornerback Coty Sensabaugh on Saturday, almost seven months after signing him to a three-year contract.

Los Angeles promoted defensive lineman Morgan Fox from the practice squad to take the roster spot of Sensabaugh, who joined the Rams in March.

Sensabaugh signed a free-agent deal worth nearly $15 million, with incentives pushing the pact upwards of $19 million.

Sensabaugh started Los Angeles' first two games before being demoted in favor of undrafted free agent Troy Hill. The 27-year-old was inactive in the Rams' victory over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

Sensabaugh recorded 10 tackles and a forced fumble in three games this season. A fourth-round pick of the 2012 draft, Sensabaugh collected 179 tackles and two interceptions in 62 career games with the Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles.

Fox recorded two sacks, two tackles for loss and four quarterback hits in the Rams' preseason finale versus the Minnesota Vikings. Fox is an undrafted free agent out of Colorado State-Pueblo.
