Long has made the Pro Bowl in each of his first three NFL seasons. He was the 20th overall pick of the 2013 NFL draft out of Oregon.

Long played right tackle last season but is moving back to guard this season. He has been bothered by a shoulder injury during the preseason, and his status for the Sept. 11 season opener against the Houston Texans has yet to be established.

He was scheduled to make $1.16 million this year. The Bears picked up his fifth-year option for 2017 in April.
