The New England Patriots released veteran defensive lineman Terrance Knighton on Monday.
The 6-foot-3, 355-pound Knighton signed a one-year deal with the Patriots in April after starting 96 games in seven NFL seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2009-2012), Denver Broncos (2013-2014) and Washington Redskins (2015). In 108 career games, he has recorded 230 tackles and 14 sacks.
