RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 8 (UPI) -- Although the amount of Olympic events is quite staggering, energized spectating has not yet made the cut.

But United States gymnast Aly Raisman sure did. And her parents are sitting in the stands in Rio de Janeiro, watching her every roll, tuck, and step of the way.

During the United States' qualifying round Sunday, the Raisman's tapped at each other, squeezed arms, shielded eyes, shouted, and clapped. They were eagerly cheering on their 22-year-old daughter while she took part in the uneven bars event.

Lynn and Rick left the arena pleased however, after Raisman qualified for the individual all-around completion. The Raisman's also eagerly watched their daughter at the 2012 London Olympics, when she won two gold medals in the team and floor events. She also won a bronze medal in 2012 on the balance beam.

Raisman takes on the women's team all-around final Tuesday.
