The Golden State Warriors and Dallas have agreed on a trade that will send center Andrew Bogut to the Mavericks.

The Mavericks are also expected to sign Warriors small forward Harrison Barnes.

Details are being worked out and the deal can't be consummated until the free-agent moratorium ends on July 7.

ESPN was the first to report the Bogut deal.

The 31-year-old Bogut has averaged double figure rebounds in four of his 11 seasons.

The Warriors need to clear up cap space to absorb the contract of Kevin Durant, who earlier in the day announced he would join Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green as they try to get back to the NBA Finals next year.

Bogut, a former top overall NBA pick, played in 70 games this past season, but was injured in the NBA Finals.

The Warriors will be shedding Bogut's $11 million expiring contract. Dallas does not have to give up anything to make the deal work since the Mavericks are already on under the salary cap.

In Bogut, they get a rim protector who has plenty of playoff experience.
