Toronto Raptors C Jonas Valanciunas out for Game 1 vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

Toronto Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas has been ruled out for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night and is doubtful for Game 2 with an ankle injury.

Valanciunas missed the final four games of the Raptors' second-round series win over the Miami Heat with the injury.

Raptors head coach Dwane Casey did not give a timetable on Monday for Valanciunas' return.

The 7-foot Valanciunas was injured during the third quarter of Game 3 against the Heat. Bismack Biyombo has started in his absence and finished with 17 points and 16 rebounds on Sunday as the Raptors defeated the Heat 116-89 in Game 7 to move on to their first-ever conference finals.

Valanciunas, 24, averaged 18.3 points and 12.7 rebounds in the first three games of the series against the Heat. Overall, he averaged 15 points and 12.1 rebounds in 10 playoff games this season. For the regular season, Valanciunas averaged 12.8 points and 9.1 rebounds in 60 games.
