Tampa Bay Buccaneers LB Jeremiah George signs exclusive rights contract

Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Jeremiah George signed his exclusive rights contract on Wednesday.

The 5-foot-11, 234-pound George joined Tampa Bay last season after spending his rookie year with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2014). He was claimed off waivers from Jacksonville.

In his career, George has played in 14 games, recording four tackles, one tackle for loss and nine special teams tackles. He also blocked a punt against the Chicago Bears last season, setting up a touchdown.

George, 24, was a fifth-round pick by the New York Jets in the 2014 NFL Draft.
